Snail Space Brighton 2018

Snail Space 2018 / Live life in Colour

Snail Space 2018 is the latest charity art trail organised by local heroes Marlets in conjunction with Wild In Art.

50+ giant snails adorn the streets of Brighton & Hove from Sept – Nov 2018, bringing a splash of colour to our city and raising money for the amazing charity Martlets.

I submitted a design for this awesome project with fellow creative and friend Vicky Trainer, and we were delighted to be chosen by the sponsor Hilton Metropole.

Not our normal canvas, we spent 2 months bringing our concept to life on this enormous escargot in a top secret warehouse. Working alongside a fabulous and diverse group of local artists, we had an epic adventure discovering new skils and new friends.

Find Iris outside the Hilton Metropole on Kings Road, opposite the i360.

Meet Iris.

More is more, and less is a bore!

Inspired by the American fashion icon Iris Apfel and her radiant, stand-out style, this striking snail represents Apfel’s ethos of living life in colour. A spectrum of vibrant hues, abstract patterns and a flurry of tiny white dots is a feast for the eyes.

Enjoy the glow – be part of the show!
